Headphones: Razer Kraken Pro: Price - £69.99 (razerzone.com) Sometimes when gaming simplicity works. Gaming headsets with bells and whistles like surround sound, USB audio processors, and wireless functionality are great, but when you get down to it, the most important thing when gaming is to be able to plug in a headset and be able to hear and be heard. The Razer Kraken Pro is the embodiment of simplicity, while still offering great sound quality and a comfortable design. It's a nice alternative if you don't want to pay more than twice as much for, say, Razer’s Tiamat 7.1 headset, which offers features galore including surround sound with a USB audio processor. Each have black foam earcups and black rings on the outside of the cups, and along with a bendable arm on the boom mic coiled in the left ear cup.

Razer say the Kraken Pro extremely comfortable and they are not lying. Its large, over-the-ear cups and foam padding let the headset sit securely on your head without pinching, and it's light enough to not weigh down my head. It's a very good headset to wear for long gaming sessions. The ear cups fold inward to make it easier to carry, and you should have no problem sticking it your bag to take to with you on your travels or to go to a friends house to continue gaming. Even though this guide is for increasing your PC gaming experience the Razer Kraken pro also comes in a Xboxone edition giving console game players the same experience as PC gamers making the Razer Kraken Pro our number 1 Razer Headset and at a reasonable price.
